The Verandas III //

Like most cities in the United States, Punta Gorda, on the Gulf Coast of southwest Florida, recognized the need for more affordable housing. In 2017, they completed two phases of redevelopment of a planned master development to replace affordable housing destroyed by Hurricane Charlie. The last and final phase, Verandas at Punta Gorda III, was recently completed. Designed by our architecture team, Verandas at Punta Gorda III is available to area families meeting 35% to 60% of the AMI.

The property has concrete block walls, hollow core plank floors, and a corrugated metal roof. It comprises 72 units, including 30 one-bedroom/one-bath units, 27 two-bedroom/two-bath units, and 15 three-bedroom/two-bath units, including four UFAS-compliant units for accessibility. All units have granite counters and balconies/porches.

The amenities include a fitness and business center, a playground, and a training room for enrichment opportunities such as job training and placement and computer and financial literacy programs.
