Waverly Terrace Seniors //
Adaptive reuse of a historical secondary school originally built in 1906. This all load bearing brick structure was fully gutted down to the structure and rebuilt as senior apartments including the addition of an elevator, all new building systems and refinished hardwood floors. The exterior was restored including new historical grade energy efficient replacement windows. A second tower was added to the site to surround a contemplative garden courtyard along with the existing service building’s exterior walls. This project obtained Earthcraft certification and breathed new life into the historical residential neighborhood.
